Desert Jungle

In the remote Sonoran Desert in Mexico, a young boy visits his grandfather. The boy has little interest in exploring; he'd rather play on his tablet. But when the bag containing it disappears--snatched by a coyote!--he heads out on his own in search of it. The desert is a frightening place: unseen eyes seem to watch him; thorny cacti loom overhead. And what are those scrunching, scratching, snapping sounds? But later, with his grandfather's guidance, the wonders of the desert--the extraordinary birds, reptiles, and plants that live there--gradually reveal themselves, and the boy begins to view this amazing environment, and the world around him, in a profound new way.
