Friends of the Library

Mission Statement
The Friends of the Meadville Public Library is a volunteer organization dedicated to the active promotion, welfare, and support of the Meadville Public Library. The purpose is to build and maintain an association of persons interested in the library, its services, facilities, and needs; to develop supplemental funding to assist in promoting the use and enjoyment of the library by the community.

Book Sale
The Friends are known for their biannual book sale. These book sales take place in the spring and fall and donations of used books are collected year-round. If you have books that you would like to donate to the Friends please drop them off at the Library’s Main Desk.

Please note that we do not accept donations of Magazines, Encyclopedias, College Textbooks, Readers Digest Condensed Versions, or VHS and Cassette Tapes.

The Friends meet the third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. For more information, please contact the Main Desk.
