How to Play

Pick up your Bingo Board:

Visit either of our service desks at the library receive your Bingo Board. Each square on the board represents a different item to check out.

Read and Explore:

Check out books or other items in our collection that match the categories on the board. It's a great opportunity to explore all of the materials we have available at the Library!

Complete a Line:

Take your items to a service desk to check out and show a Librarian which squares you need a stamp for. Library staff will stamp each square.

Claim Your Prize:

Complete five squares in a row - horizontally, vertically, or diagonally and you've got a BINGO! Once you complete a line, return your Bingo Board to the library to enter to win a prize! Adult Services will draw monthly, Youth Services have immediate prizes available for all completed Bingos.

Rinse & Repeat:

You can choose to get a new board after a BINGO or work to complete an entire board. Complete as many BINGOs as you'd like between now and February 28, 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Do audiobooks and e-books count?
A: Absolutely! Audiobooks and e-books are welcome, so whether you prefer turning pages or listening, it all counts towards your Bingo challenge.

Q: How long do I have to complete the challenge?
A: The Winter Reading Challenge runs through December 2 to February 28, but you can start anytime and finish at your own pace. Prizes will be available as long as the challenge is running.

Q: Can I fill out more than one board?
A: Sure! As long as you're checking out books that are new to you, you can complete more than one board.

Q: Where can I find people's book recommendations?
A: Recommendations from adults will be on the column by the Main desk. Children's book recommendations will be scattered around the Children's floor on display with snowflakes on them! Can you find all the books with snowflakes?

Q: How do the prizes work?
A: Once you get a BINGO, Library staff will stamp your board. Children & Teens can get prizes anytime they get a BINGO. Adults will be entered to win, with prizes pulled at the end of December, January, and February.
