Set in an Oz where a morose Wizard battles suicidal thoughts, the story of the green-skinned Elphaba, otherwise known as the Wicked Witch of the West, profiles her as an animal rights activist striving to avenge her dear sister's death.

Years after the death of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, a young man named Liir, rumored to be Elphaba's son, is discovered in the ruins of Emerald City and revived by the mysterious foundling Candle.

Glinda, former Throne Minister, held under house arrest by General Cherrystone, obtains the infamous Grimmerie, supposedly a volume of magical lore, coveted by Oz. Meanwhile, Lir's daughter Rain begins her quest to discover her true identity and unravel the layers of political and personal secrets that have caused strife and division in Oz.

After a cyclone transports her to the land of Oz, Dorothy must seek out the great wizard in order to return to Kansas.

Abby, her two friends Robin and Frankie, and the annoying Penny, are in their treehouse arguing about what to do for their special school project when a tornado appears out of nowhere, scoops up the treehouse, and transports them all to the land of Oz, where they are soon confronted by Wicked Witch of the East (who is very much alive, and rather angry), and must save a story that is going completely sideways--all because of the evil Gluck.
