The Meadville Public Library will be the host for a reading and book signing by novelist Earl H. McDaniel.

McDaniel, a former resident of Meadville and a former English teacher at Maplewood High School, image002will read from his debut novel, Between Lives, beginning at 6:30 p.m. June 30 at the library, 848 N. Main St. Between Lives is the story of a man fighting to stay relevant in the post 9-11 world, in which the economy has contracted, and older workers have less value. In addition to being a former teacher, McDaniel is a former journalist with a master of Fine Arts from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a freelance writer and editor and a substitute teacher.

The reading will be followed by a Q&A session.
