Ms. Woodruff says that she worked as a janitor, a gardener, a receptionist, an ice-cream truck driver, a window-dresser, a store owner, and a storyteller in a library before she became a full-time writer. She says, “Life doesn’t always come with a map. We aren’t all born with recognizable gifts that automatically direct our lives. This doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Sometimes we can define our gifts and strengthen them by leaving ourselves open to new experiences. That’s what happened to me.” Learn more about her at:
