New Year’s Weekend

The library will close at 5pm on Friday, December 30th and reopen at 9am Tuesday, January 3rd.

Holiday Closings

The library will be closed for the Christmas holiday on Saturday, December 24th and Monday, December 26th. The library will be closed for New Year’s on Saturday, December 31st and Monday, January 2nd.

Thanksgiving Closing

Meadville Public Library will close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23rd and be closed on Thursday, November 24th. We will be open our regular hours Friday and Saturday.

Fall Used Book Sale

The Fall Used Book Sale will be held at the Helene Barco-Duratz Cultural Center at 411 Chestnut Street November 3rd through November 5th. The sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Meadville Public Library and RSVP. Dates and times are as follows:

Thursday, Nov. 3rd: 4 pm – 8 pm
Friday, Nov. 4th: 9:30 am – 5 pm
Saturday, Nov. 5th: 9:30 am – 2:30 pm

Saturday is Bag Day all day – $2 per bag or $3 per box. For more information on the sale, please call the library at 336-1773.

Zoo Event Canceled

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the behind-the-scenes event at the Erie Zoo has been canceled. The drawing for tickets has been canceled as a result as well.
